Evidence record · UDINUS · SDGs
UDINUS runs a campus-wide waste segregation and composting scheme to reduce the volume of waste sent to municipal landfill and to recover value from organic material.
Three-bin segregation stations for organic, recyclable, and residual waste are placed at 26 points across the campus. Organic waste from canteens and grounds maintenance is processed in an on-site composting facility with a capacity of about 200 kilograms per day; the resulting compost is used on campus green spaces.
During 2025 the scheme diverted an estimated 38 percent of total campus waste from landfill, combining composted organics and recyclables sold to licensed collectors. Cleaning staff received training on segregation at source, and signage in Indonesian and English guides users at each station.
The programme is coordinated by the general-affairs bureau, which logs collected volumes weekly. Records are retained for audit and are summarised in the annual sustainability report.
